We're really excited to have had one of our hogs selected for this year's prestigious Cochon 555 competition in Chicago! 

If you love a good cause and want to attend one of the the country’s most talked about culinary events, then clear your weekend calendar when Cochon555 returns to Chicago on April 8, 2018 at the incredible Hilton Chicago Hotel. Imagine an elaborate 30-course, stand-up, super sustainable dinner featuring amazing beverages where you get to help us pick the best bite from some of the best local chefs.

This year’s competing chefs are Mario Garcia of Kitty O'Sheas, Cory Morris of Boleo at the Kimpton Gray Hotel, Ryan Burns of The Blanchard, Andres Padilla of Topolobampo, and Carlos Gaytan of Mexique Butcher Rob Levitt of Butcher & Larder rounds out a stellar lineup. In addition, there are two satellite competitions, the Somm Smackdown (wine/pig matching) and Punch Kings (barkeeps facing off in whole-bottle cocktail tilt). We are going to be there and you should too to support our partner, Chef Gaytan. General Admission tickets are $130 for this all-inclusive feast, VIP is $200 and gets you an entire extra hour of noshing and access to rare and allocated wines and spirits. Created in 2008 in response to the lack of education around heritage breed pigs, Cochon555 is a nose-to-tail culinary event dedicated to supporting family farmers and educating buyers about the agricultural importance of eating heritage breed pigs, some of which are on critical watch lists. Your support benefits our foundation project, Piggy Bank, a start-up farm in Missouri that serves as a kickstarter for new family farms and a safety net for those in the wake of a disaster (fire, flood, and disease).
